Sunnyside Art Show and Sale
Posted in Uncategorized on August 29, 2010 by Anthony GordonI know it’s been a while since I’ve put some posts on my site. I aim to be more regular in my posting going forward.
This past weekend was an interesting experience for me. I spent the entire weekend at a outdoor art show, the first for me. My work was part of a special exhibit within the art show called Undress – The Art of the Figure. I was there with about nine other artists showing various styles of figure work, from photography (me of course) to paintings and sculptures.
It was an unique experience for me, my photography tends to be very isolated and individual in nature. This weekend I got to meet a number of like spirits (a number of whom tried to convince me to take up drawing/painting, etc, we’ll see where that leads). It was very inspirational and uplifting. I felt a renewed sense of purpose and have a number of ideas that I will be pursuing.

A muse is precious…
Posted in My Life on October 23, 2009 by Anthony GordonThe past month or so has been really difficult as I’ve lost a hard drive full of images that I inadequately backed up. A lot of recent stuff that I was just waiting for the right time to work on and upload. So I’ve been going through a lot of my old stuff trying to determine what I had and what is missing and I came upon a folder of images from a muse I used to work with many years ago. I had forgotten how it exciting it was to go shoot with her and how much she pushed me creatively.
Lately I’ve found it difficult to find a model, that willing, that talented, that creative who really, really inspired me. So to my former muse, thanks for the memories…
